President Biden’s approval ratings continue to plummet as the Democrats launch yet another indictment against his top rival, Donald Trump. According to a poll conducted by Investor’s Business Daily, Biden’s net approval rating is an abysmal 13 points. This should serve as a wake-up call for those who believed Biden’s path to re-election was smooth sailing.
The survey, taken after news of the latest indictment against Trump broke, revealed that a staggering 51% of Americans disapprove of Biden, with an even higher 60% of independents expressing their dissatisfaction. It seems that voters are not falling for Biden’s shallow boasts about the economy either, as 52% disapprove of his handling of the issue.
Biden’s struggles with inflation have contributed to his declining popularity. Gasoline prices have soared to nearly $4 a gallon on average, hitting Americans hard in their wallets. However, Biden has been gallivanting around the country, peddling his “Bidenomics” agenda as if it’s the greatest thing since sliced bread. The mainstream media has conveniently played along, spinning a narrative that everything is rosy. But voters aren’t buying it, especially when only 16% of adults claim that their wages have kept up with inflation, the lowest number since February 2022.
Despite the onslaught of indictments against Trump, a New York Times/Siena College poll showed that he and Biden are neck and neck with 43% of the vote each. It’s quite telling that Biden is tied with a man who is facing a mountain of charges that would likely end the career of any other politician. Another poll by ABC News revealed that 46% of voters believe the latest charges against Trump regarding “lying” about the 2020 election are politically motivated. However, 52% still believe he should be charged. The fact that Trump is being persecuted in a series of sham cases is clear for all to see, and it remains to be seen how the voters will judge such unprecedented efforts to jail a political opponent.
In the coming days, Trump is anticipated to face a fourth indictment in Georgia. Some, including Trump himself, predict that the Democratic party’s relentless pursuit of him will ultimately backfire. It’s safe to say that nobody, not even the Democrats spearheading this political persecution, can predict the final outcome. One thing is for certain though: a Biden victory is far from assured, and the American people are growing increasingly frustrated with his failed policies and empty promises.
