Just when it seems the Biden administration can’t sink any lower, they somehow find a way. In a shocking display of tone-deafness, President Joe Biden likened a whopping 250 million Americans to garbage. This reckless jab comes two days before Kamala Harris’s pal, billionaire Mark Cuban, decided to get in on the action himself. Cuban boldly claimed that no “strong, intelligent women” would dare support former President Donald Trump, effectively throwing tens of millions of American women under the bus.
The irony here is as thick as a summer fog in San Francisco. Cuban, a self-proclaimed ally of women, seems more interested in virtue signaling than engaging in meaningful discourse. It’s worth noting that despite his wealth and influence, he appears to have zero understanding of the women who make up the backbone of this country’s conservative movement. Strong, intelligent women are right there in the trenches—fiercely advocating for policies that promote freedom and personal responsibility, and they just so happen to support Trump. Cuban’s comments might just be the most condescending oversimplification of women’s political beliefs that one could conjure up.
Women. We are intelligent. We are brave. We are mothers wives and daughters
We vote
And yes vote Trump
You and your families lives depend on it. pic.twitter.com/rTSIXV9o0H— just jennifer (@InspiredHorse1) November 1, 2024
Not only does this tell a lot about the increasingly elitist views held by some on the Left, but it also underlines a fundamental disconnect from reality. Cuban’s sweeping generalizations are as misguided as they are insulting. Women across the nation have good reasons for supporting Trump, ranging from his economic policies that disproportionately benefit working-class families to his stances on law and order, which resonate deeply in communities concerned about safety and security. This broad-brush characterization diminishes not just the political agency of women but also the intelligence that Cuban pretends to champion.
Even within the progressive enclave of Hollywood where Cuban resides, one might hope for a level of sophistication that includes recognizing the diverse reasons why individuals may align with a particular political figure. This insensitivity reveals a critical flaw in the Democratic strategy: rather than engaging voters on policy, they opt for insults, convinced that name-calling will sway public opinion. Newsflash for Cuban and his cronies: it turns out name-calling doesn’t win elections.
Amid the chaos of outlandish political statements from the Left, those who support Trump aren’t going anywhere. They’re mothers, daughters, sisters, and grandmothers. They care deeply about the future of their families and communities, and they are more than capable of thinking for themselves—regardless of what billionaire celebrities might suggest. It’s time for the left to get out of their bubbles and engage with real Americans, instead of tossing around insulting generalizations like confetti at a parade. Save the trash talk for the wrestling ring; voters deserve a thoughtful discussion, not a playground brawl.
