In a stunning display of hypocrisy, the Department of Justice and Attorney General Merrick Garland are being sued by America First Legal for their failure to require Hunter Biden to register as a foreign agent. And let’s be honest, there’s plenty of evidence to suggest that Hunter should have been forced to register a long time ago.

While serving on the board of Ukrainian energy giant Burisma during the Obama Administration, Hunter Biden conveniently neglected to register as a foreign agent. It’s almost as if he thought the rules didn’t apply to him. Well, guess what, Hunter? America First Legal thinks otherwise.
According to a report from the Daily Caller, the lawsuit states that the Department of Justice “has a nondiscretionary duty” to require individuals like Hunter Biden to register under the Foreign Agents Registration Act. But instead of fulfilling their duty, the defendants have turned a blind eye, refusing to take any action.
This refusal is a direct denial of America First Legal’s right to information that should be publicly disclosed under the Foreign Agents Registration Act. And let’s not forget, this is the same Act that has landed other individuals, like former Trump campaign manager Paul Manafort, in federal prison. So why is Hunter Biden getting a free pass? It seems like there’s a double standard at play here.
What makes this whole situation even more outrageous is the fact that Hunter Biden’s qualifications for the position on the Burisma board were sorely lacking. Yet, he was appointed anyway. It’s clear that his only qualification was his last name. Can you imagine if anyone from the Trump family had done something like this? The media would be in a complete frenzy.
But as always, the liberal elites are quick to protect their own. They’ll turn a blind eye to Hunter Biden’s shady dealings, while throwing the book at anyone associated with the Trump administration. It’s this kind of hypocrisy that fuels the fire of conservative voters across the country.
So kudos to America First Legal for taking a stand and holding the Department of Justice accountable. It’s about time someone stood up for justice and fairness, especially when it comes to the Biden family. Let’s hope that this lawsuit shines a light on the corruption and double standards that have plagued our justice system for far too long.
