The narrative surrounding the Department of Justice has taken an alarming twist under the Biden administration. For years, former President Donald Trump and his supporters have asserted that the DOJ has turned into a political weapon, selectively targeting individuals based on their beliefs. While left-leaning media outlets continue to mock such assertions as mere conspiracy theories, new reports from the Daily Caller shine a glaring spotlight on the disturbing reality unfolding in America.
Data uncovered by the Daily Caller reveals that Biden’s DOJ is stretching an 1870 statute to crack down on peaceful abortion protesters like a kid with too much candy. The Freedom of Access to Clinics (FACE) Act, a law that has been on the books for 30 years, is now being wielded with unusual vigor by Biden’s team. Over the last three years, this administration has reportedly accounted for an astonishing quarter of all FACE Act charges in the law’s thirty-year history. It appears that the DOJ is treating pro-life advocates like piñatas, just waiting for an opportunity to swing the bat.

Even more striking is the apparent double standard in how the Biden administration approaches protesters on both sides of the abortion debate. While charges against pro-life activists have been rampant, the same doesn’t hold true for their pro-abortion counterparts. The Daily Caller points out that under Biden, even allegations of threatening clinic employees may not carry the same severity. In stark contrast, peaceful elderly women expressing their views near abortion clinics face disproportionately harsh penalties. It seems that simply standing up for one’s beliefs could land you in deeper trouble than some of the more aggressive activists on the other side.
The data is unsettling. From 1994 to 2024, a shocking 205 cases were brought against pro-life protesters, while only five cases were recorded against pro-abortion activists in that same period. Talk about a lopsided scoreboard. This discrepancy suggests that the Biden DOJ is not merely enforcing the law but is doing so with a clear political agenda aimed at suppressing opposing viewpoints.
Rep. Chip Roy from Texas has been instrumental in exposing these statistics, which reveal an insidious strategy to silence pro-life voices while practically giving a free pass to those who promote abortion. Even as pro-life organizations face threats and violence—particularly after the leak of the Roe v. Wade decision—Biden’s DOJ has only prosecuted a handful of individuals responsible for attacks against pro-life centers and churches. This disheartening trend exemplifies the need for a course correction in America’s justice system. If nothing else, these findings underscore why a Republican president is imperative to restore fairness and impartiality in the enforcement of the law. The time has come to dismantle the apparatus that allows for government weaponization against those who simply dare to stand up for their beliefs.
