Biden Grilled by Special Counsel in Secret Docs Scandal!

President Joe Biden faced another round of scrutiny when he underwent an interview this week with Special Counsel Robert Hur concerning his handling of classified documents. Ian Sams, the spokesperson for the White House Counsel's Office, confirmed that the president willingly participated in the interviews, which were conducted over two days at the White House.

Sams stated, "The President has been interviewed as part of the investigation led by Special Counsel Robert Hur. The voluntary interview was carried out at the White House across two days, on Sunday and Monday, concluding on Monday."

This development wasn't entirely unexpected, given President Biden's earlier statements on the matter. In late August, he confidently informed reporters that he had not been approached for an interview by the special counsel's office, suggesting there was no interest in him. However, it appears that the interest has finally led to this interview.

The investigation was launched after classified documents were discovered in both President Biden's Delaware residence and his former workspace at the Penn Biden Center. With the interview now completed, it seems Special Counsel Hur is getting closer to concluding his inquiry. This should provide some relief for the president, who can hopefully put this chapter behind him in the near future.

It's worth noting that President Biden is not the first president to face scrutiny over the mishandling of classified documents. Former President Donald Trump faced similar allegations, as did Vice President Mike Pence, who ultimately had the investigation against him dropped. This serves as a reminder that no one is exempt from legal scrutiny, irrespective of their political affiliation.
