Sen. Tom Cotton (R-AR) is not mincing words when it comes to President Biden’s foreign aid request. In classic Cotton fashion, he boldly declared that the proposal is “dead on arrival,” just like Biden’s budgets. Ouch! But hey, the truth hurts sometimes.

Cotton specifically took issue with a few line items in the request, and who can blame him? He made it clear that he won’t stand for $3.5 billion being used to support the “potential needs of Gazans,” which we all know is just a fancy way of saying Hamas terrorists. It’s about time someone spoke up against this kind of outrageous spending.
But that’s not all! Cotton also refused to support $11.8 billion for the Ukrainian government’s non-war spending. Retirement pensions for Ukrainian government employees? Come on now, that’s not our responsibility! Let them figure it out on their own dime.
And let’s not forget about the $4.7 billion being allocated for housing, transportation, and “services” for illegal aliens here in the United States. Cotton made it clear that our hard-earned taxpayer dollars should be spent on deporting them, not coddling them with cozy accommodations and free rides. It’s time to put America first, folks.
President Biden’s request includes billions of dollars for various countries and causes, including Ukraine, Israel, Gaza, Taiwan, and Indo-Pacific allies. But Cotton made it crystal clear that he won’t be supporting any of it. He’s not interested in funding other countries’ problems while Americans struggle right here at home. And who can blame him?
With the Senate Majority Leader, Chuck Schumer, pushing to move forward with the aid package, despite objections from Cotton and other Republican senators, it’s clear that the battle lines are being drawn. But fear not, conservatives! Cotton assured us that Senate Republicans will take the lead in crafting a funding bill that actually prioritizes Americans and their interests. Now that’s some good news!
So, let’s raise a glass to Sen. Tom Cotton, the man who’s not afraid to speak the truth, even if it means stepping on some toes. With his fiery opposition to President Biden’s foreign aid request, Cotton is proving once again why he’s a true conservative champion.
