Biden’s Big Brother Blitz: Gov Meddles in Free Market!

President Joe Biden, in a thinly veiled attempt to distract from his abysmal approval ratings and the imminent disaster that is his State of the Union address, has unveiled a joint task force between the Federal Trade Commission and the Department of Justice to meddle in corporate pricing. This task force, led by Big Brother himself, aims to root out any hint of capitalism and punish any business that dares to set prices based on supply and demand, rather than the whims of government bureaucrats. If you ask this writer, it sounds a lot like a recipe for economic disaster, but what do I know?

The Biden administration is apparently not content with just one task force. They’re also parading around the White House Competition Council, a 15-member committee that includes Cabinet secretaries and various government agency heads. This council has been strong-arming industries like healthcare, finance, technology, and transportation, in what can only be described as a blatant power grab to control the free market.

If that wasn’t enough, the Biden administration is also touting their new rule which would cap all credit card late fees at $8. While this might initially sound like a good thing for consumers, it’s just another example of government overreach into the private sector. And let’s not forget about the CFPB’s efforts to eliminate so-called “junk fees” from banks. We can all agree that junk fees are annoying, but the government dictating how businesses can operate is a dangerous path to go down.

The timing of these announcements is suspect, to say the least. With Biden’s approval ratings sinking faster than the Titanic, it seems like these measures are nothing more than a desperate attempt to salvage his reputation before the upcoming State of the Union address. Even his own White House is admitting that his economic approval ratings are in the toilet.

Speaking of the economy, it’s no secret that Biden’s handling of it has been less than stellar. Inflation has been at its worst in decades under his administration, and instead of taking responsibility, he’s been trying to spin it as a success. But the American people aren’t buying it, with a majority disapproving of his job performance and his economic policies. It’s no wonder Republicans are capitalizing on the term “Bidenflation” to highlight the economic mess he’s created.

As the saying goes, “It’s the economy, stupid,” and it looks like Biden and his team need a serious reality check. With the November elections looming, they’ve got their work cut out for them to turn the sinking ship around. But if there’s one thing we can count on, it’s the resilience of the American people in the face of government overreach and incompetence. Keep your wallets close, folks, because it’s going to be a bumpy ride.
