The Biden-era chaos that welcomed hundreds of thousands across our southern border is finally meeting a long-overdue consequence: deportation flights to Haiti have begun after the administration’s legal battle ended Temporary Protected Status for many Haitian nationals, and the first groups have already been sent home. Americans who demanded enforcement were told it couldn’t be done; now the government is doing what common sense and the law require to protect communities and restore order.
Among those removed was a Haitian man whose arrest went viral after authorities tied him to gang activity and captured footage of him making threats during an ICE operation in Boston; federal officials say he spent more than a year and a half in custody before boarding a flight back to Haiti. This is what happens when law enforcement finally gets the tools and political will to remove dangerous individuals — they are sent out of our country and back to face whatever their homeland has in store.
Predictably, the moment was labeled a scandal by the usual suspects after the Department of Homeland Security released video of a deportation flight departing for Haiti, prompting outrage from activists and some community leaders. The left’s moral posturing rings hollow when you remember they spent years blocking enforcement and celebrating policies that encouraged mass unlawful migration.
Critics called the DHS clip “propaganda,” but the real propaganda for years has been the soft-on-crime, open-border narrative that pretends consequences aren’t necessary to keep Americans safe. If showing the public that dangerous, criminal aliens are being removed is propaganda, then give us more of it — Americans deserve transparency about enforcement that protects neighborhoods and pays back the rule of law.
Scenes from past arrests — including footage of defiant detainees shouting anti-Trump slogans and obscenities as they were taken into custody — only underline why decisive removal matters and why sanctuary policies failed our cities. Voters did not elect officials to wring their hands while criminality blooms; they elected them to act, and this administration is following through where others would hide behind excuses.
Patriots should celebrate this moment as a reminder that borders, laws, and sovereignty mean something, and that enforcement can be carried out without apologizing for protecting everyday Americans. Expect more flights, more returns, and more furious hand-wringing from those who preferred chaos; in the end, safeguarding our citizens will always be the conservative priority and the moral duty of a functioning government.
