The recent news about President Joe Biden’s dog, Commander, is causing quite the stir in the conservative circles. It turns out that Commander has been quite the troublemaker, with over two dozen biting incidents involving U.S. Secret Service agents. But this isn’t just a story about a misbehaving pet; it’s a tale of government inefficiency and a lack of control in the Biden administration.
According to internal documents obtained by the government transparency group The Black Vault, Commander’s biting escapades have led to a complete overhaul of the Secret Service’s operating protocols at the White House, Camp David, and even Biden’s Delaware homes. The documents, which were obtained through a Freedom of Information Act request, detail the Secret Service agents’ struggles to work around the German shepherd and document each individual biting incident.

The documents reveal a shocking 24 biting incidents between October 2022 and July 2023, with reports of Commander’s aggressive behavior surfacing as early as spring last year. One can only imagine the chaos and fear that must have plagued these poor agents as they tried to fulfill their duty to protect the President while dodging the jaws of a rogue canine.
But it gets worse. The documents also include emails from Secret Service agents, urgently asking for reports from anyone who has been bitten by Commander. The desperation is palpable as they plead for information and advise each other to give the dog plenty of room, stating that they must be creative to ensure their own personal safety. This is not the kind of workplace environment anyone should have to endure, especially when their job is to protect the leader of the free world.
The severity of these biting incidents is not to be underestimated, as some agents required medical attention after encountering Commander. In one instance, an agent stumbled upon the dog at Biden’s Delaware home, unaware that Commander was off his leash. The subsequent bite resulted in a severe deep open wound and a significant loss of blood. This is a clear indication that the Biden administration cannot even manage the safety of its own employees, let alone the safety and security of the American people.
The Secret Service’s response to these incidents is nothing short of appalling. They have treated the biting incidents as workplace injuries, documenting them according to their guidelines. But what about preventing these incidents in the first place? Why wasn’t Commander properly trained and managed to ensure the safety of the agents tasked with protecting the President? The lack of accountability and responsibility in this situation is truly disheartening.
While the White House and the first lady’s team have made efforts to address Commander’s behavior through additional training, leashing, and consulting with animal behaviorists, the fact remains that the environment proved to be too much for the unruly pet. And so, since the fall, Commander has been living with other family members. This is a clear indication of the administration’s inability to handle even the most basic responsibilities.
It’s clear that President Biden’s inability to control his own pet reflects his overall inability to lead and manage his administration. If he can’t even keep a dog in check, how can we expect him to effectively govern the country? This situation is not just about a disobedient dog; it’s about the incompetence and negligence of the Biden administration. And it’s high time that the American people take notice of these critical shortcomings.
