Joe Biden’s Department of Health and Human Services has recently chosen to mark yet another LGBTQ+ holiday, this time celebrating “Pansexual and Panromantic Pride Day.” The occasion was noted with a post on social media platform X that could practically be mistaken for a cheerleader’s chant. The HHS proclaimed that everyone deserves to feel “seen, respected, and supported—no matter who they love.” It seems that, for this administration, redefining normal is more crucial than tackling real issues like inflation and border security.
As almost expected, the post was met with a wave of bemusement and frustration from the public. Comments flooded in, targeting the administration’s apparent inability to prioritize the concerns of everyday Americans. Elon Musk expressed his bewilderment regarding the true meaning behind this modern lexicon—perhaps he’s just as lost as the average American trying to navigate the myriad of gender identities concocted in progressive circles.

The comical irony of these celebrations is underscored by the government’s failure to address pressing matters like healthcare costs. Vivek Ramaswamy hit the nail on the head, suggesting that observing a day dedicated to reducing healthcare expenses would be far more beneficial. After all, who wouldn’t want a day recognizing the importance of affordable healthcare over the many increasingly perplexing LGBTQ+ holidays that seem to flood the calendar?
Biden’s administration, with its roster of officials openly identifying as LGBTQ+, has managed to bewilder large segments of the population. With the likes of Rachel Levine and Sam Brinton on the forefront, it’s as if the administration views spectacle as a substitute for governance. Hosting pride celebrations replete with drag queens and controversial figures underscores an administration hellbent on pushing cultural boundaries rather than focusing on the real-world problems faced by the American people. It seems clearer than ever that for Biden and his team, creating a “brave new world” takes precedence over addressing issues that actually matter.
