The left continues to hurl mud at conservative Americans, showing once again that when it comes to insults, they’ve got creativity—but not much else. The Democrats, in their seemingly endless negativism, have traded serious debate for a cartoonish rendition of honest political discourse. With Trump gearing up for another run at the presidency, the Democrats have stepped up their derogatory game, labeling supporters with increasingly wild insults. President Joe Biden’s recent comments, in which he appeared to label Trump’s supporters as “garbage,” serve as just the latest example of this bizarre name-calling trend.
It’s hard not to chuckle when recalling how Hillary Clinton’s famous “basket of deplorables” backfired in spectacular fashion back in 2016. Instead of alienating Trump’s supporters, that remark brought them together like never before. The term eventually morphed into a badge of honor for those who refuse to apologize for loving their country, leading many to joke about being “Nazis” merely because leftists said it. Yet, here we are again, with Biden apparently following in Clinton’s footsteps, but somehow managing to make it worse.
From 'deplorables' to 'Nazis' to 'garbage,' Democrats embrace insults, intolerance in the Trump erahttps://t.co/J5YgevchDG

His choice of words arrived during a speech where he attempted to downplay an incident involving comedian Tony Hinchcliffe making derogatory comments about Puerto Rico. Instead of redirecting the conversation back to Harris’s closing plea, Biden ended up drawing the ire of the very voters he was trying to court. The White House quickly scrambled to correct the record, claiming that Biden was merely speaking about Hinchcliffe. But leaves of an apostrophe couldn’t erase the offensive remark, which only further inflamed tensions among the Trump base.
Republicans are not fooled by Biden’s attempt at damage control. Senator Ron Johnson pointed out the obvious—that the President was indeed referring to the supporters, not the comedian. This dichotomy of the mainstream media painting over Biden’s blunders only serves to highlight the absurdity of the narrative. It is emblematic of a larger trend where prominent Democrats have taken to linking conservatives—even casual voters—to horrific ideologies like fascism and Nazism, a narrative that, quite frankly, is getting old.
The left’s fixation on labeling conservative Americans has only escalated in intensity since Trump first took office. High-ranking Democrats have made it a habit to equate conservatives with the darkest parts of history, veering from simple name-calling to outright character assassination. From likening them to fascists to linking them to Nazi sympathizers, it seems the playbook for today’s Democratic leadership involves using fear rather than facts to sway public opinion. Democrats may think such tactics help them politically, but it only strengthens the resolve among those they insult, proving once again that modern-day conservatives wear insults like trophies. After all, while the left masters the art of disdain, the right diligently cultivates a sense of humor about it all.
