The Biden administration’s latest foreign policy maneuver involves sending U.S. military support to Israel, but it hardly resembles the tactical interventions of yesteryear. With tensions escalating between Israel and Iran, the president decided that a THAAD anti-missile battery, along with a handful of American personnel to operate it, was the solution. This move, while not exactly “boots on the ground,” certainly raises eyebrows for its lack of wisdom—especially when viewed through the lens of Harris’s political ambitions.
It’s evident that the Democratic Party has a teeny tiny problem with its base when it comes to Israel. The left’s affection for attitudes bordering on anti-Semitism can turn the most benign college eatery into a scene straight out of a surreal protest documentary within seconds. But instead of standing firmly with a crucial ally, Democrats are trying to appease a gaggle of radicals who think raising the Palestinian flag at a potluck will win them votes. And let’s face it, Tim Walz’s half-hearted valor demonstrations aren’t about to woo anyone who’s already been loyal to Trump.
Biden-Harris Admin Finds Way To Alienate Both Sides With New Foreign Boondoggle https://t.co/wV2b2YNUGb via @dailycaller

What’s baffling is that frenzied demonization of the Biden administration is already setting up shop among those who view “Killer Kamala” and “Genocide Joe” as loft ideals for foreign policy. It would be a stretch to say this deployment will add anything positive to their image with the left, but a constant media focus could just as easily squelch Democratic turnout. However, the mainstream media is adept at sweeping inconvenient truths under the rug, so don’t expect this news to linger longer than a Snapchat story.
The implications of this deployment stretch beyond mere anti-Israel protests in places like Berkeley and Dearborn. By gifting Israel this cutting-edge anti-missile technology, the immediate response from Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu was to signal a readiness for military action against Iran. His team was clear as mud, claiming that while they’ll “listen” to what the U.S. suggests, decisions will ultimately be based on Israeli interests. So much for the myth of American influence in the region.
With Iran likely not to back off from retaliatory measures, the outlook leans toward the region spiraling further into conflict. American taxpayers have already made an investment in this geopolitical mess, and there’s a question looming: will the U.S. have any leverage to cool things down, or will a stray drone lead us straight into another quagmire? The current administration has painted itself into a corner, and who benefits from that chaos remains anybody’s guess.
It’s rather disheartening to witness avoiding needless foreign entanglements being labeled a “right-wing issue” by the media. The truth, however, is that this problem transcends party lines. Americans from all sides have a vested interest in steering clear of unnecessary overseas conflicts, but the Democrats are hell-bent on alienating everyone with their shortsighted tactics.
