The Biden administration just can’t seem to keep its staffers in line. Kate Berner, the White House Principal Deputy Communications Director, has announced that she will be leaving her post shortly. She had been a staunch supporter of the President from the very beginning, having worked on his ‘presidential’ campaign in 2020. It is unclear why she decided to leave now, but we can safely assume it is likely due to her dissatisfaction with the current direction of the administration.
Among the several accomplishments during her tenure at the White House, Berner is credited with helping to pass the Inflation Reduction Act of 2022 (although one can argue she didn’t do a very good job). She also had a hand in the $1.2 trillion bipartisan infrastructure bill that Biden signed into law in 2021. Regardless of her supposed impact, her departure is yet another indication that this administration is losing key members left and right.
Berner’s colleagues were quick to sing her praises, but perhaps they were just trying to garner some sympathy before they, too, flee this sinking ship. Former White House communications director Kate Bedingfield wrote that Berner was “the best of the best,” and former White House chief of staff Ron Klain claimed that she was “brilliant” and “a huge talent.”
.@KateBerner46 has been at the center of @POTUS' communications operation for 4+ years doing hard work you don't always see — distilling complex policy processes, making sure the news we share is clear and factual and managing a cross functional team. She'll be greatly missed! https://t.co/dW4UvKKUug

Though Berner’s announcement may have come as a shock to her fellow staffers, conservatives can rest a little easier now knowing that there is one less Biden supporter running amok in the White House. It’s becoming increasingly apparent that this administration is teetering on the brink of disaster, and every departure only serves to amplify that fact.
Berner was one of the last members of the original communications team that worked on Biden’s campaign. It seems that with each passing week, the President’s staff is shrinking and decreasing in quality. One can only hope that the remaining staff will be able to maintain some semblance of professionalism and unity. If not, the American people are in for a bumpy ride.
