Scott Jennings, a CNN contributor, recently took sharp aim at Vice President Kamala Harris for her critiques of former President Donald Trump’s mental fitness. Jennings pointed out the ludicrousness of Harris casting stones. At the same time, she stands in a glass house, particularly given her role in spinning tales about President Biden’s declining mental state. This narrative has taken a nosedive ever since Biden’s dismal campaign performance this summer.
The Harris-Walz campaign has decided to play the cognitive card, claiming that the 78-year-old Trump is showing signs of mental decline. Quite the irony, considering they have entirely ignored Biden’s frequent struggles, leaving one to wonder if they’re just a little desperate for ammunition. Instead, they have clung to snippets of Trump making a light-hearted playlist after a Pennsylvania town hall, just another example of Democrats grasping at straws. Harris even tried to seem concerned in a recent X post, but really, who does she think she’s fooling?
Just 2 days after the Kamala campaign launched an effort to label Trump a "weak" man who's "hiding" mental decline, he went at it for a solid hour — live and unscripted — with a hostile journalist.

In a recent segment on CNN’s “News Night,” Jennings didn’t hold back his disdain for Harris’s tactics. He noted that if he were in her camp, he wouldn’t be so quick to challenge others on their mental health, especially when her track record with Biden’s condition is less than stellar. The most perplexing bit? Harris has been one of the leading players in convincing everyone that Biden is fit as a fiddle for office, but when anyone with two eyes and a brain can see the truth, it is a lot messier.
Jennings also pointed out that Harris’ strategy of merely attacking Trump rehashes the same old Democrat playbook that has been worn out for nearly a decade. It’s as if she’s taken a cue from the Democrats of yore, relying on insults instead of actually trying to sell herself as a viable candidate. Jennings questioned how much longer she could keep this up without articulating a compelling vision for her candidacy. This move is reminiscent of a three-legged raccoon trying to chase a rabbit—it just won’t get her anywhere.
As Jennings continued to unravel the absurdity of the situation, he reminded everyone of the months of optimistic spin from Harris and other Democrats about Biden’s capabilities. The Vice President had her hands all over the reassuring narrative that the President was in perfect health. But with her team now backpedaling from earlier claims, Jennings couldn’t help but call out the hypocrisy. After all, if anyone should be deflecting questions on mental acuity, it’s the person who pitched an entirely false narrative of Biden juggling chainsaws while governing, wouldn’t you agree?
