In a rare moment of clarity, the liberal media appears to have acknowledged some of Joe Biden’s false claims during his national address. CNN, known for its left-leaning bias, had its legal analyst, Elie Honig, call out Biden’s denial of sharing classified information with his ghostwriter. Honig pointed to the Hur Report, which contradicted Biden’s claims. Finally, some liberals are holding Biden accountable for his misleading statements.
However, not all members of the liberal media are handling the situation well. Some seem to be in a state of panic, desperately searching for excuses to deflect attention from the disastrous report and Biden’s response. And, of course, what is a liberal media meltdown without the obligatory “Republicans pounce” narrative? It’s ironic how predictable these reactions have become.

The New York Times, always ready to further their agenda, provided exactly what was expected of them. Republicans are apparently “pouncing and seizing” on the special counsel report that clears Biden of mishandling classified documents but describes him as an elderly man with a poor memory. So now, Republicans are the bad guys for simply acknowledging the report’s findings. Typical New York Times rhetoric.
Jonathan Chait of New York Magazine takes the cake for one of the most delusional takes of the night. Trying to defend Biden’s mishaps, Chait compares it to the “effective” voyage of the Titanic. Last time we checked, the Titanic’s journey was anything but effective. It seems like Chait is struggling to find a reasonable defense for Biden’s blunders.
CNN’s Erin Burnett attempts to come to Biden’s rescue by using the “cul-de-sac” defense. She argues that Biden’s brain has always led him down verbal dead ends, so it’s nothing out of the ordinary. But claiming that Biden has always had issues isn’t exactly a convincing defense. Is this the best they can come up with?
John King tries to salvage Biden’s image by suggesting that some of his flaws are just “baked in.” He then brings up Biden’s stutter as an excuse for his behavior. While it’s commendable that Biden has overcome his stutter, it doesn’t excuse his contradictory claims, incoherence, and blatant disregard for reality. Stretching the stutter defense to this extent only shows how desperate they are to protect Biden.
Next in line for offensive takes is MSNBC, claiming that “everyone forgets” and suggesting that Biden’s memory lapses may be due to his lawyer’s advice. Seriously? Talking to dead people, being unable to complete sentences, and displaying a lack of understanding or concern for reality are not mere forgetfulness. It’s a genuine cause for concern for our nation’s well-being.
The liberal media also fails to grasp the significance of the 40-year investigation that Biden complained about. This means that there were documents in question over those 40 years, not just during his time as vice president. Are we to believe that Biden had unauthorized access to classified documents? Why did he have them in the first place, and how can this be excused? This is far worse than anything Donald Trump was accused of, as he had the legal right to possess the documents in question.
It’s refreshing to see some members of the liberal media holding Biden accountable, even if they are few and far between. The American people deserve transparency and honesty from their leaders, and it’s time that Biden’s misleading statements are acknowledged without being brushed aside.
