When Breitbart’s Editor-in-Chief Alex Marlow put the question to Rep. Randy Fine — are American politicians who rhetorically support Hamas terrorists themselves? — the moment cut through Washington’s usual euphemisms and cowardice. Ordinary Americans watching understood the point immediately: words matter and rhetoric that excuses or rationalizes terrorism isn’t debate, it’s complicity.
Fine didn’t dodge. He told Marlow plainly that people who verbally stand with Muslim terrorist organizations are acting as enablers of evil and that calling that out is not some trendy smear but a sober defense of civilization. This isn’t theater; it’s a necessary redefinition of accountability in a country that still values truth over spin.
This stance is consistent with Fine’s record as a staunch, unapologetic defender of Israel and a fierce opponent of Islamist terror — he’s repeatedly made national security, support for allies, and opposition to genocidal groups central to his public platform. Conservatives who have watched the collapse of leadership on these questions welcome a Congressman who speaks plainly about threats and refuses to sanitize the vocabulary of war.
Contrast that with the Left’s reflexive name-calling, which treats conservatives as existential monsters while giving a pass — or worse, moral cover — to those who flirt with terrorist causes. It’s a staggering double standard for a political class that preaches inclusion while excusing ideologies dedicated to exclusion and murder. Americans deserve leaders who call out real enemies instead of weaponizing language to protect them.
Randy Fine’s bluntness should be a model, not a scandal. If we accept that applauding or rationalizing groups like Hamas is beyond the pale, then our institutions — media, tech platforms, and Congress itself — must stop pretending that equivocation is mere “free speech.” There must be consequences for those who traffic in moral relativism when the cost is American lives and our allies’ survival.
Hardworking patriots want a country that names its enemies and protects its people; that’s what Rep. Fine did on camera. Conservatives should rally behind clear-sighted leaders who defend Western civilization and stand with Israel, and demand that the political class stop hiding behind polite euphemisms while our enemies regroup. Our nation’s safety depends on telling the truth, even when the truth is uncomfortable.
