The Wall Street Journal broke the news that Musk intends to back America PAC, the group leading the charge to bring Trump back to the Oval Office for a second go-around. Quarterly financial disclosures revealed the tech mogul hasn’t given a dime to the PAC yet, but now a tsunami of cash is about to hit D.C. With Musk’s monthly installments, the PAC could rake in an astounding $180 million by the time Americans head to the polls in November.

Federal laws have few restrictions on how much an individual can donate to a super PAC, which probably has lefty bureaucrats quaking in their Birkenstocks. Musk’s leap into political activism follows a dramatic episode where Trump barely escaped an assassination attempt. The former president sustained injuries and a rally attendee paid the ultimate price, but it seems this act of violence only galvanized Musk’s support for restoring sanity in the White House.
America PAC, launched in May, isn’t just riding on Musk’s rocket-fueled generosity. It’s already bankrolled nearly $9 million, with notable contributions from other billionaire patriots like Joe Lonsdale and the Winklevoss twins. Lonsdale, notable for co-founding Palantir, threw in a cool $1 million, while the Winklevoss twins tossed in $250,000 each, probably as pocket change from their crypto fortunes.
Musk’s monumental pledge is set to turbocharge the PAC’s operations, ensuring that their mission to unseat the disastrous Biden administration is well-funded.
