This horrific event is just one among many, leaving ordinary citizens questioning why such preventable crimes continue to occur in the land of the free.
While President Trump continues to emphasize the danger these policies pose through his platform, Truth Social, critics ignore or downplay the need for strict enforcement and control at the border. These critics, predominantly Democrats, seem more interested in offering the country as a sanctuary for those who may harm rather than help. Meanwhile, Laura Reese, who once served as DHS Chief of Staff under Governor Kristi Noem, argues that it is high time to embrace the deportation strategies promised by Trump, which millions of Americans voted for. The message is clear: keep the border tight and ensure safety for American families.
The refusal of some states and cities to cooperate with ICE and other federal immigration enforcement agencies only exacerbates the problem. They prefer the title of “sanctuary” over the safety of their constituents, turning a blind eye to the tragedies that unfold under their watch.
