In a recent fluff piece promoting the brilliance of Vice President Kamala Harris, liberal mouthpiece CNN couldn’t help but admit that “top Democrats” are quaking in their boots over the Biden reelection campaign’s “ineptitude” and worrying that it might already be “beyond the point of redemption” in its quest to secure a second term for Biden.

In a desperate attempt to prop up Harris, CNN’s Sunday article tried to paint her as an essential component of Biden’s reelection squad, despite the fact that Harris is even less popular than her boss, who holds the unenviable title of the worst-rated president in recent history.
To add insult to injury, CNN had to acknowledge that Harris appears to be on the sidelines and is fighting tooth and nail to wrestle control of the campaign from the clutches of Biden’s White House cronies.
According to the report, Harris is convening separate confabs with supporters and gathering “intel” to burst the bubble of the Biden campaign, aiming to flex her influence and steer the 2024 campaign in a direction of her choosing. CNN disclosed that Harris aims to “utilize that intel to advocate for changes in strategy and tactics in the hopes of putting the ticket in a better position to win.”
While CNN didn’t explicitly say it, their report clearly suggests that Harris isn’t getting the VIP treatment within the Biden reelection campaign. Nonetheless, her efforts to engage with supporters at the vice presidential residence are finding favor among those who fear that Biden’s campaign is careening off course.
“Numerous prominent Democrats, jittery about a campaign they fear might be careening past a point of no return, indicate that their interactions with Harris have been a surprising and welcome departure from the White House and Biden campaign headquarters in Wilmington, Delaware,” CNN reported.
The article quoted a Democrat insider who remarked that the “‘bedwetting’ complaints are wearing thin” and that top Democrats are seriously apprehensive that the Biden campaign is not heeding the advice of its backers.
CNN also highlighted that there are still some Democratic insiders who are pushing for Harris to be jettisoned from the ticket and replaced with a more popular candidate.
Nevertheless, CNN’s article unmistakably demonstrated that Harris’ meetings are laying bare the deep-seated flaws in the Biden campaign.
“Yet each meeting has led to her requesting more meetings, often interspersed with additional calls and requests for follow-up as she delves deeper into what many perceive as missteps,” the article asserted.
One interesting facet of the CNN report is that it went on and on about how Harris’ “listening meetings” have been positively received and how she is making supporters feel heard. However, not once did the article provide evidence that these glad-handing sessions have actually translated into any substantive shifts in the Biden campaign’s focus.
“It might be beneficial,” opined one insider who attended one of Harris’s meetings. Yet they cautioned that they are still waiting to see tangible results from the meetings. “If that’s all there is to it, then it won’t cut it.”
Overall, the article did its utmost to portray Harris as a crucial and influential figure in the Biden campaign, but in reality, it showed that she has thus far had minimal impact and has resorted to reaching out to others in private meetings in a bid to carve out a path into her own reelection campaign.
Beyond the efficacy of Harris’s actions, the article also underscored that many top Democrats are wracked with dread over the floundering Biden campaign’s inability to mount a competent reelection bid for Joe.
Harris, toeing a fine line, may also be brewing trouble in her bid to assert herself within a disinterested campaign apparatus, potentially risking alienating top supporters who are already teetering on the edge with the Biden reelection effort.
No matter how you slice it, despite the CNN article’s attempt to sugarcoat Harris and her tête-à-têtes, it appears to be painting a grim picture of a presidential reelection campaign on the verge of collapse.
