The son of Joe Biden, Hunter, has been indicted on a felony gun charge. This is a shocking turn of events for the troubled son of the US president.
Court documents state that the incident happened in October 2018. It involves Hunter Biden allegedly making false statements on a gun transaction record after purchasing a firearm from a licensed dealer. Although this might not seem like a big deal, it is a significant issue when it comes to firearms.
In the form that Hunter Biden filled out, he asked whether the buyer was an illegal user or addicted to any type of substance. However, he checked the wrong box. He claimed that he wasn’t a user or addict of any illegal substance. It's important to keep in mind that he has a well-documented history of substance abuse.
The indictment consists of three counts. One of these is alleged to involve making false statements on a record regarding the purchase of a firearm. Another count is related to lying to a licensed dealer. Finally, count three pertains to allegations that Biden was an addict and unlawful user of illicit substances when he took the gun.
David Weiss, the special counsel for the US, signed the indictment. This is another instance of how scandals have plagued Hunter Biden. Despite the people's attempts to downplay it, these are serious charges and it's important that the American people scrutinize the actions of their government officials.
