Hunter Biden’s attorney, Abbe Lowell, took to the airwaves on Sunday to make some outlandish claims, suggesting that his client’s overseas business dealings were perfectly legal. Appearing on CBS’s Face the Nation, Lowell defended Hunter against charges of tax fraud and illegal firearms possession, conveniently ignoring the mountain of evidence against him.
Lowell had the audacity to question the motives of the Republican-appointed prosecutors who investigated Hunter’s business affairs. He asked, “What did this group of prosecutors have as a motive to turn the other way to anything they found that would have indicated wrongdoing against Hunter Biden?” Well, Mr. Lowell, they might have been motivated by the truth and a desire to uphold the law.

It’s outrageous that Hunter’s defense team is trying to brush off the seriousness of these allegations. The House Oversight Committee, led by Republican Rep. James Comer, is conducting a thorough investigation into Hunter’s shady business dealings. They’ve uncovered damning evidence, including a message from Hunter himself, threatening his Chinese associates with action from his father if they didn’t fulfill their commitments. Are we supposed to believe that this is all just a big misunderstanding?
But what’s even more concerning is the $5 million payment Hunter received from the Chinese firm shortly after sending that threatening message. President Biden has angrily denied any involvement in his son’s dealings, but the evidence tells a different story. It’s time for Hunter and his attorney to stop playing innocent and start answering some tough questions.
The mainstream media, of course, has been silent on this issue. They’re more interested in protecting the Biden family than holding them accountable. It’s the typical double standard we’ve come to expect from the liberal media. If this were any other politician’s son, they would be demanding answers and calling for a full investigation. But because it’s Hunter Biden, they turn a blind eye.
It’s clear that Hunter Biden has been given preferential treatment throughout this whole ordeal. His connections to his father, the President of the United States, have shielded him from the consequences of his actions. But the American people deserve to know the truth. This is not just about Hunter Biden, it’s about the integrity of our justice system. Let’s hope that Rep. Comer and the House Oversight Committee can uncover the full extent of the corruption within the Biden family.
