Incompetence of Biden-Harris Administration Endangers Border Security and National Safety

The ineptitude of the Biden-Harris administration continues to amaze the American public, especially regarding border security and national safety. Kamala Harris, once laughing at the idea of terrorists breaching our Southern border, now has blood on her hands as reports flood in about danger lurking just across the U.S.-Mexico line. It’s almost as if those criticisms about her tenure as Border Czar—the sort of job that should come with a massive “Do Not Disturb” sign—were right on the mark. Estimates indicate that hundreds on the terror watch list have encountered authorities during this border crisis, while many feared individuals managed to slip through the cracks among the two million ‘got-aways.’

Recently, a shocking incident involving two Jordanian nationals trying to breach Marine Corps Base Quantico has sparked outrage. One of these men illegally crossed into the U.S. in April and promptly got himself released into American society. Now, merely weeks later, he found his way into a box truck with another Jordanian, both of whom have more questionable backgrounds than a dubious fast-food chain. The men attempted to gain entry to a key military installation while claiming they were making a delivery to the U.S. Post Office—a plot twist about as clever as a reality TV show contestant trying to blame their bad performance on the weather.

In a laughable turn of events, they calmly disregarded military police officers’ instructions about as much as a toddler ignores their parents’ warnings about touching hot stoves. After a failed charade about delivering for Amazon—setting off alarms that might as well be ringing in the ears of every American—the military officers detected their lack of credentials and directed them to a holding area for a “vetting.” Yet, this is where the story takes another baffling twist: instead of being sent packing back to where they came from, both men were eventually allowed to post bail. Yes, you read that correctly—bail, for trying to invade a military base!

The duo, now identified as Hasan Yousef Hamdan and Mohammad Khair Dabous, who apparently are more resourceful than most average Americans trying to make ends meet, reportedly secured bail that totaled $25,000 combined and walked free. For a country that prides itself on the rule of law, this decision raises eyebrows and elicits questions. Are these men under surveillance, or have they simply been given a pinky-swear promise not to approach military installations? While new laws intend to keep Americans safe, the actual enforcement seems to rely more on blind hope than anything remotely resembling law enforcement.

In a just-as chilling side note, in the spirit of the administration’s startlingly lenient attitude toward terrorism, the Defense Department has advanced a plea bargain with the 9/11 mastermind, Khalid Sheikh Mohammed. This exceptional favor extends to ensuring that he can avoid facing the death penalty due to years of post-capture complications. It poses the jarring query: If those responsible for the loss of nearly 3,000 American lives can negotiate for life sentences, what exactly will it take to secure severe consequences for anyone else wishing to bypass our immigration laws?

Kamala Harris’s worldview continues to be one that champions terrorists getting treatment more lenient than that offered to hardworking Americans—a criminal paradise where terro-centric policies reign supreme. The brazen idea that illegal immigrants who have attempted to infiltrate our bases can just walk free is an embarrassment to the country. The administration’s decisions are as baffling as they are alarming; America deserves better than to have its national security treated as a joke. Keep an eye on this administration; they just might give a keynote address at the next “How to Fail at Being in Charge” conference.
