Hunter Biden, the son of President Biden, is taking legal action against the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) in a bold move. He argues that career agents within the IRS violated his privacy rights by disclosing information about his tax investigation to Congress and the media. In his lawsuit, Biden claims that the whistleblowers who spoke out about concerns regarding the mishandling of his case infringed upon his rights as a taxpayer and intentionally aimed to embarrass him.
As a conservative Republican news writer, it’s hard to ignore the irony here. The Biden family has been notorious for their questionable financial dealings, and now Hunter Biden is crying foul about his own tax investigation being exposed. It seems like he wants to play by a different set of rules than the rest of us.
But, this lawsuit isn’t just about privacy violations. It also sheds light on the special treatment Hunter Biden allegedly received during his tax evasion investigation. IRS whistleblowers Gary Shapley and Joe Ziegler testified under oath that the agency mishandled the case and that politics influenced the outcome. It’s clear that the Biden name carries weight, even within the IRS.

What’s even more concerning is that Special Counsel David Weiss, who is now scrutinizing Hunter Biden’s finances, took his sweet time during his previous role as Delaware U.S. Attorney. He slow-walked a five-year investigation into Hunter Biden’s actions, allowing the statute of limitations to expire. This means that Hunter Biden could potentially get away with his tax evasion, all thanks to the conveniently slow wheels of justice.
It’s no wonder why Professor Jonathan Turley is calling this move by Hunter Biden whistleblower intimidation. It’s a classic example of using legal maneuvers to deflect and deflect from the real issues at hand. But as conservatives, we see right through it. The American people deserve better, and it’s time for the Biden family to be held accountable for their actions, just like any other citizen would be.
