John Stewart once again graced the political stage with his latest performance, this time throwing a fit that would make a toddler’s tantrum look like a calm discussion over Legos. The left-wing host of “The Daily Show” went full meltdown mode after President-elect Donald Trump’s historic victory, emotionally imploding over the very pollsters who had perfectly misled the nation.
Unable to contain his disdain for the results, Stewart directed his rage toward the so-called experts who had insisted the election would be a nail-biter between Trump and Vice President Kamala Harris. In a tirade reminiscent of a child denied dessert, Stewart told his audience he never wanted to hear from the pollsters again. His emotional display was equal parts amusing and alarming, showcasing the desperation of a liberal elite trying to grasp a reality where their dreams of a Biden-esque utopia were dashed once more. The polls really should have considered what happens when hard-working Americans finally have a say.

Before the victory was even official, Stewart warned of an apocalyptic ending to civilization if Trump won, invoking fears from the depths of a soapbox. Apparently, reality checks aren’t included in the liberal playbook because when the dust settles, he still reiterated that Americans would simply have to “work like hell.” It’s interesting how the same crowd that insists the world is about to end is also the first to propose we just roll up our sleeves and get to it when things don’t go their way.
Social media circled like vultures, feasting on the carcass of Stewart’s heightened emotions. Celebrities had already promised to flee to Canada in the likely event of a Trump presidency, a statement that aged as well as milk left out in the sun. Meanwhile, the virtual world couldn’t help but poke fun at the left’s dramatic reaction.
