Kamala Harris recently sat down for a pre-taped interview with “60 Minutes” where her verbal gymnastics left viewers both bewildered and entertained. The clips from this performance are trickling out, leaving one wondering if there is a point hidden beneath the avalanche of ambiguous rhetoric. In the initial clip, Harris spins a dizzying account of America’s foreign policy in the Middle East, which is less coherent thought and more mind-numbing word salad.
Her comments on U.S. diplomacy with Israel were a chaotic mix of buzzwords about humanitarian aid and ceasefires, yet absolutely devoid of substantive content. It is an art to say so much while communicating nothing at all, and Harris seems to have mastered this skill. Her ability to conjure a slew of phrases while failing to provide any concrete details has become a trademark, and this performance only adds to her dubious reputation.

The interview took a comical turn when Harris was asked about how she would fund her massive economic agenda, which, not surprisingly, includes an assortment of big-government programs. Instead of addressing the question directly, she dodged with a familiar refrain about small businesses—her go-to escape hatch for any financial inquiry. This was reminiscent of a fast-food customer asking for the special and instead getting a lecture on the merits of fries.
When pressed about paying for her proposed plans, Harris defaulted to the tired leftist narrative about the wealthy needing to pay their “fair share.” However, any honest assessment reveals that even if the government could confiscate every dollar owned by billionaires, it wouldn’t even scratch the surface of covering a year’s worth of federal spending. This continues to showcase the absurdity of the left’s financial strategy, which often amounts to little more than wishful thinking.
The stark reality facing the nation is that the only viable solutions for economic recovery lie in growth and substantive spending cuts. Unfortunately, Harris’s proposals seem more intent on fostering economic stagnation under the guise of “fairness” than on addressing the actual fiscal challenges. Her tendency to talk in circles only emphasizes the lack of a genuine plan. It raises serious questions about her competence and readiness to lead.
It is both puzzling and alarming that anyone would consider entrusting this individual with significant power. Her reliance on pre-scripted talking points grows increasingly obvious whenever the teleprompter fails her. With her established history of empty rhetoric and a lack of grasp on fundamental issues, it is critical for American voters to critically evaluate their choices come November. The stakes are too high for uninformed decisions that could lead to further mismanagement and strife for the nation.
