The radical left has a double standard. When Democrats question the results of an election, break the law, or make racist statements, it's always been perceived differently.
In a recent Time magazine article, the magazine claimed that Republicans are wrong to call out New York Congressman Hakeem Jeffries for being an election denier.
Hakeem Jeffries is a Democrat who has called out Donald Trump as an illegitimate president. He is one of a number of Democrats who have also called out the election results as fraudulent.
Time claims that the term "election denier" has been associated with Republicans who claim that the 2020 presidential election was stolen. They claim that there was no evidence of fraud in the previous election.
The author of the article claims that calling Jeffries an election denier is misleading and that it distorts various issues. The real issue is that he and other Democrats have been intentionally misleading the public about the results of the presidential elections.
Since the 2000 presidential election, every victory by a Republican has been called illegitimate by Democrats. After George W. Bush was defeated by Al Gore in 2000, many Democrats claimed that he was "unelectable." In 2013, Joe Biden claimed that Al Gore won the election.
In 2004, John Kerry almost claimed that the election results in Ohio were fraudulent due to issues with the voting machines. However, some Democrats tried to delay the certification of the results of the election in Ohio. In 2018, Kerry claimed that Bush won the election.
The allegation of Russian collusion was the main reason why Donald Trump was able to defeat Hillary Clinton in the 2016 presidential election. However, after a multi-million dollar investigation failed to uncover evidence of this, many Democrats still believe that Trump stole the election.
In each instance, the individuals who made the false claims were free to make their own claims. They never denied the way those who questioned the election results in 2020 did.
Time magazine's explanation of why Hakeem Jeffries and other Democrats are not election deniers is flat out wrong. Instead, they continue to make these unsubstantiated claims, which are part of a party pastime.
