More alarming news is on the horizon from the northern U.S. border, and it seems that the Democrat-controlled media is doing its very best to keep it under wraps. Recent reports reveal that illegal immigration apprehensions are soaring, leaving the ever-overworked Border Patrol struggling to keep pace. This isn’t just another casual Friday statistic; it’s a serious indication that an invasion is underway.
Andrew R. Arthur from the Center for Immigration Studies has delved into this issue, unraveling the deceit that has characterized current border crisis narratives. The narrative pushed by the left suggests that fewer illegal crossings are happening, but in reality, thousands of unauthorized individuals are sneaking across from our northern border. Meanwhile, the southern border remains a veritable welcome mat for those looking to escape their own countries, regardless of whether they come with good intentions or a criminal agenda.

Just in July alone, the small contingent of Border Patrol agents stationed at the largely neglected northern border apprehended over 3,000 illegals. To illustrate just how astonishing this figure is, that number exceeds the total apprehensions of 2,238 for the entirety of Fiscal Year 2022. The situation has become so dire that both borders are now facing an invasion of epic proportions, one that can be directly attributed to the policies of the Biden administration.
As for the numbers from the first ten months of Fiscal Year 2024, they are similar. If the current trend persists, the tally at the northern border may reach as high as 23,400 apprehensions. It was once rare for the north border to see annual apprehensions exceeding 12,500, but now, under the Biden-Harris reign of chaos, those statistics are old news.
Arthur highlights that from 2012 to 2020, the northern border consistently saw fewer than 5,000 apprehensions—now that’s a respectable tight ship.
Let’s not overlook what’s happening at the southern border, either. Despite what the administration might claim, it’s essential to recognize that many illegal immigrants make their entrance through backdoor channels—specifically under the dubious Biden-Harris parole program. On top of that, nearly 2 million individuals have evaded apprehension altogether, a fiasco that no sensible American can ignore.
Under the guise of international agreements, the Biden administration has put forth new protocols for northern border migrants, hoping to create the illusion of order. Now, migrants are only allowed four hours to consult with an attorney before their asylum claims are processed, significantly down from the 24-hour window that had once provided at least a modicum of due process. It’s apparent that this so-called compassion for asylum seekers is merely a facade, as many of these individuals have ulterior motives—gang members included.
With the Biden and Harris duo at the helm, the borders seem to have become more than an open door. The notion that there exists any semblance of a crackdown is nothing more than an elaborate smoke and mirrors act designed to appease a public increasingly concerned about their safety and security. The reality is glaringly apparent: the systematic erosion of America’s borders under the current administration is compromising the nation’s integrity and raising alarms across the country.
