Mayor Eric Adams of New York City finds himself in hot water once again, this time facing accusations of sexual assault. A civil summons was issued in New York Supreme Court claiming that Adams assaulted a woman he worked with back in 1993. The woman is seeking a whopping $5 million in damages, which seems a bit excessive, if you ask me.
Adams, of course, denies these allegations, with a City Hall official stating that the mayor doesn’t even know who this woman is. And even if they did meet, he doesn’t remember it. But let’s be honest, folks, does that really matter? It’s a he-said, she-said situation, and we all know how those usually turn out.
What’s interesting is the timing of these accusations. It’s no coincidence that they come on the heels of Adams criticizing President Biden’s disastrous immigration policies. It seems like a calculated move to tarnish the mayor’s reputation and distract from the real issues at hand. Classic liberal tactic, if you ask me.

But let’s not forget the real problem plaguing New York City – the influx of migrants. Adams has been sounding the alarm on this issue, warning that it will “destroy” the city. And he’s not wrong. Over 118,000 migrants have flooded into the city since spring 2022, thanks to Republican governors in Texas and Florida. Talk about a disastrous consequence of misguided policies.
To deal with the rising costs of accommodating these migrants, Adams has been forced to propose painful budget cuts across city departments. This includes a $1 billion cut to the Department of Education, reductions in summer school and prekindergarten programs, and even slashing the number of police officers on the streets. Yes, you heard that right – while crime is on the rise, Adams wants to reduce the number of police officers. It’s like he’s playing a game of “how can I make New York City less safe?”
It’s clear that Adams is more concerned with appeasing the Biden administration than protecting the citizens of New York City. His prioritization of accommodating unauthorized migrants over the safety and well-being of his own constituents is truly mind-boggling. And it’s a sad state of affairs when a mayor is more interested in cutting essential services and risking public safety than standing up for what’s right.
So, while these sexual assault allegations may be grabbing the headlines, let’s not forget the bigger picture here. Mayor Eric Adams is failing the people of New York City, and it’s time for a leader who will put their needs first, not the demands of the radical left.
