Once again, the Pentagon is dodging the tough calls. Instead of stepping up, they’re brushing off concerns about the Strait of Hormuz. Their latest move? They shot down a report suggesting it would take six months to fully clear that critical waterway. Meanwhile, global tensions are rising, and American tankers sail into danger. Why do Biden’s bureaucrats always hesitate when bold action is needed?
There’s no room for delays in one of the world’s most vital shipping passages. Radical regimes are ready to block the Strait with mines at a moment’s notice. This isn’t some far-off, imaginary crisis. Our enemies are daring us to blink. Yet the Pentagon’s answer to all of this seems to be more committee meetings, more “studies,” and plenty of bureaucratic tap-dancing.

Thank goodness President Trump remembered how to lead. On the same day the Pentagon tried to downplay the danger, Trump ordered a massive ramp-up of mine sweeping operations. He knows that the world watches American strength and resolve—especially our enemies. If we cower and delay, they win. It’s that simple. Trump didn’t waste time worrying about international opinion or begging for a globalist consensus. He put America’s security first, period.
Liberals and the D.C. crowd love to write reports and talk tough on TV, but when the real work needs to be done, they fold. Why trust a bunch of desk jockeys who can’t even agree on the urgency of clearing a few mines? The left would rather risk our sailors’ lives and our nation’s energy independence than admit Trump was right to demand action.
The truth is painfully clear. America needs leaders who actually lead, not more indecision from feckless officials. The Strait of Hormuz isn’t going to clear itself. Maybe what Washington really needs is a reminder that our enemies respond to strength—not wishy-washy bureaucratic excuses. How many times will we let liberal weakness endanger America before we demand better?
