Conservatives should cheer anyone who turns celebrity mojo into a tool for transparency and civic engagement instead of handing it to the coastal elites and their propaganda outlets.
The performer-turned-candidate surged into the national spotlight with an improbable run in the June 2 Los Angeles mayoral primary but ultimately didn’t advance to the November runoff, an outcome that only proves how deeply entrenched the Democratic machine is in California politics. Even so, Pratt’s blunt talk on homelessness, crime, and rebuilding after last year’s Palisades fire tapped into real frustration that the party in charge refuses to address.
Predictably, the left and its media shock troops reacted with outrage and sneers, calling the meeting everything from a publicity stunt to proof of “celebrity politics” run amok — while President Trump publicly complained about the way the L.A. contest was handled and urged Pratt not to simply accept the result. Their hysteria only highlights how scared progressives are of outsiders who refuse to bow to their failing narratives.
Patriots should see this White House visit for what it is: a bridge between hard-working Americans fed up with decay and a movement willing to fight for them at every level. Pratt’s vow that he will “never stop fighting” for his community is the kind of grit the conservative movement needs more of, and it’s high time we back bold action over talky virtue signaling from the elites.
