A trucker who hit the internet with a fiery video vowing to boycott New York City in protest over the hefty fine slapped on former President Trump has made a sharp U-turn, saying his original message was twisted. The whole saga started when a video by user “Chicago1Ray” blew up online, with the trucker declaring that he and his buddies were going to “start refusing loads to New York City” and warned, “you mess around and you’ll see.”

But, in a surprising twist, the trucker backtracked in a later post, clarifying that he didn’t want to be seen as the head honcho of a movement when all he did was share “chatter” he’d heard. He made it clear that there are good folks in the Big Apple, where he’s got family, and expressed confidence that Trump will emerge triumphant on appeal. He urged everyone to chill out and let the legal process run its course. He wrapped up by rallying his fellow truckers to keep on truckin’ and keep America humming, signing off with “God Bless America, God Bless Trump and God bless every Truck driver in this country.”
And in a dramatic denouement, he took to social media once more to stress that his decision to pull the original video was entirely his own. He clarified that nobody had strong-armed him into doing it and declared, “I did so based on what I see as being misinterpreted by some to cast me as a leader of something that I have no wish to be, nor will…”
