Once again, liberal academia has shown its true colors. The chaos unleashed by pro-terrorism sympathizers at Columbia University paints a grim picture. Masked agitators took control of the library, disrupting students who were simply trying to study for finals. This is the kind of mayhem the left allows to grow in their so-called “bastions of learning.” Is Columbia more interested in fostering anarchy than education?
In a bold move, the Trump administration, along with Secretary of State Marco Rubio, has stepped up to the plate. They’re sending a clear message: America will not be a playground for those who support terrorism. By reviewing and revoking the visas of these foreign agitators, they are ensuring that pro-Hamas extremists won’t find a safe haven in the United States. It’s common sense policies like these that protect our citizens and institutions from being hijacked by radical ideologies.

But where is the liberal outrage? The Department of Justice is monitoring the situation, yet it seems some on the left shrug their shoulders at the growing influence of such dangerous ideologies on our campuses. Instead of addressing the root cause of these problems, they pretend such occurrences are mere blips on the radar. The complacency of these so-called progressive institutions continues to be alarming.
Even more disturbing is the trauma inflicted on innocent workers. Columbia’s janitors are suing after being held hostage by a violent mob last year. Their ordeal, rooted in anti-Semitic vitriol, exposes the ugly underbelly of these radicals who parade under the guise of justice. They even had a how-to guide for chaos — a chilling testament to how far these extremists will go.
How many more incidents like this must occur before liberal universities wake up? America must not allow its educational institutions to become epicenters of extremism. If these hotbeds of radical thought continue to harbor such elements, perhaps it’s time to question if these “progressive” ideals are leading us down a path of destruction. Are we going to stand by as a nation and let this chaos overtake our hallowed halls of learning?
