In a recent town hall interview with Fox News, former President Donald Trump expressed his concerns about “phony ballots” and questioned the concept of early voting. Despite efforts by the Republican National Committee to embrace early voting, Trump didn’t hold back his thoughts on the matter.
During the interview, Fox News host Sean Hannity asked if Republicans should support early voting, voting by mail, and legal ballot harvesting. Trump responded by saying that he believed they should, but he also emphasized the issue of “phony ballots” created by Democrats.

Now, I don’t know about you, but hearing about “phony ballots” definitely raises some red flags for me. It seems like Trump is onto something here. We all want fair and legitimate elections, right? Well, it seems like the former president is pointing out a major flaw in our current system.
Hannity, on the other hand, made the argument for early voting. While Trump didn’t disagree, he did express his desire for everyone to vote on a single day. And hey, I can understand that logic. It would definitely make things simpler and perhaps even reduce the potential for fraud.
But here’s the kicker: Trump believes that the Democrats are the ones who don’t want verification and voter ID. He claims they want to cheat. Now, I don’t know about you, but that statement certainly makes me scratch my head. Why wouldn’t we want to ensure the integrity of our elections? It seems like common sense to me.
In the end, Trump made it clear that his concerns about “phony ballots” are shared by many. He even mentioned that regular Democrats support the idea of voter ID. So, maybe this isn’t just a partisan issue after all. Perhaps it’s time we take a closer look at our election processes and make sure they’re truly safeguarding the will of the people. Because, as Trump rightly put it, without good elections, we don’t have a country.
