The latest polls have raised concerns for Biden’s re-election prospects, with Trump’s increasing popularity among black voters. The CNN analyst described this trend as a “troubling sign” for the Biden campaign and suggested that it could mark a historic shift in black voter support for a Republican candidate.
The polling data revealed that Biden’s support among black voters has declined by 12 percent, while more than double the number of black Americans—22 percent—indicated their intention to vote for Trump. This represents a significant shift in voter support, especially among younger black voters, with 25 percent of black voters aged 18 to 49 expressing support for Trump.
Trump’s support among black voters has seen a notable change since the 2016 election, where he received only eight percent of the black vote. By 2020, his support among black voters had increased to 12 percent—a trend that has raised eyebrows within the Democratic Party.
