In a recent interview, Former President Donald Trump teased that he’s almost ready to drop some big news about his stance on abortion ahead of the 2024 presidential election. Word on the street is that Trump, the Republican Party’s top dog, has been kicking around the idea of backing a 16-week abortion limit for the good ol’ U.S. of A. However, the man himself has sworn up and down that this talk is nothing but a bunch of hooey.

With Roe v. Wade getting the boot from the Supreme Court in 2022, folks are all riled up about abortion, and Trump knows it. In an interview with Fox News Mediabuzz, he dropped some truth bombs about the Democrats, calling them “the radicals” when it comes to abortion. According to the former president, those Dem folks are all about keeping the abortion party going strong for a full nine months, and whoa, nelly, that’s just too much for him to stomach.
Trump threw down the gauntlet for his own party too, saying that the Republicans need to start talking about abortion in the “right” way. He made a big to-do about the “three exceptions” to abortion bans, babbling on about how rape, incest, and the health of the mother are the holy trinity of exceptions, yada yada yada. And just in case anyone forgot, he made sure to remind them that you gotta follow your heart and win elections, or else what’s the point?
But here’s the real zinger: Trump thinks the Republican Party’s recent flubs, like losing control of the House of Delegates in Virginia, are all thanks to that pesky abortion issue. He’s pointing the finger at them abortion-loving Democrats and their shenanigans and blaming them for the Republican Party’s sad showing in the 2022 midterm elections. Sad!
Meanwhile, former Vice President Mike Pence has been wagging his finger at Trump, saying he won’t give him the ol’ thumbs up, ’cause Trump’s straying from the good ol’ conservative path. Pence even turned his nose up at a pledge from the Republican National Convention to support the presidential nominee. Ouch!
And if that’s not enough to get your blood boiling, the Biden squad is gearing up for a big ol’ abortion rights battle in the upcoming 2024 election. Vice President Kamala Harris is out there gallivanting around on her “Fight for Reproductive Freedoms” tour, making stops at Planned Parenthood clinics and stirring up a ruckus. Can you believe it?
