It’s been a rough couple of years in Ukraine, folks. The war drags on, and guess what? Ukraine is losing. Yep, you heard that right. The first year was a glimmer of hope with Ukraine pushing back the Russians, but now they’re fighting just to survive. Russia is on a mission to crush Ukraine under its boot.
President Zelenskiy recently admitted that a staggering 31,000 Ukrainian soldiers have laid down their lives in this conflict. But hold on, folks, the real numbers might be even worse. U.S. intelligence suggests that close to 70,000 Ukrainian troops have perished, and up to 120,000 Russian soldiers have met their end as well. This is a war of attrition, a battle of wills, and the truth is just a casualty in the propaganda war.
The Institute for the Study Of War has noted that Russia seems to be shying away from public celebration of their invasion anniversaries, likely to avoid talking about their failures. But don’t count Putin out just yet. With his “reelection” coming up soon (we all know it’s just a sham), he’ll have even more power to play with. And that’s bad news for Ukraine.
Let’s talk about Biden for a second. He’s been trying to squeeze Putin with sanctions, but let’s face it, folks, it’s not working. The Russian economy might be hurting, but it’s not stopping the war. Biden’s foreign policy is a mess, just like Obama’s was. Remember when Obama dismissed Russian aggression and then watched them annex Crimea? Well, Biden’s not doing much better.
And don’t even get me started on Trump. His isolationist views and simplistic solutions are a joke. We can’t just ignore the world and expect it to leave us alone. It’s a small planet, folks, and we need to be players on the world stage.
At the end of the day, Ukraine is in a tough spot. They need more than just supplies; they need manpower and a way forward. Negotiating peace is the only responsible path, but Biden has dropped the ball on that. It’s time to end this war before more lives are lost. Ukraine deserves better, and it’s up to our leaders to make it happen. Keep Ukraine in your prayers, folks, they need all the help they can get.
