Once again, the White House is up to their old tricks, spouting off about job creation and wages as if they actually know what they’re doing. During Tuesday’s press briefing, Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre went off on a tangent about the economy when asked about systemic racism. It’s like they have a preprogrammed response that they just can’t deviate from.
But let’s break down Jean-Pierre’s ramblings, shall we? First, she had the audacity to mention how schools were shut down. Well, guess who was responsible for keeping those schools closed? That’s right, the Democrats. The Biden administration and the teachers unions were in cahoots, playing with the lives and education of our children.
And let’s not forget about the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA), the Democrats’ precious stimulus package. Jean-Pierre conveniently left out the fact that even liberal economists like Larry Summers warned that it would lead to massive inflation. Yet here she is, joyfully celebrating the inflation rates like it’s some big accomplishment. Well, I’m not impressed.
Now, let’s talk about the claim that they’ve created over 13 million jobs. That’s a blatant lie. Those jobs weren’t magically created by Biden and his cronies. They were simply people returning to work after the pandemic. And as for the supposed increase in wages, the government’s own data proves otherwise. Inflation-adjusted average hourly earnings have actually decreased under Biden. So much for those promises of prosperity.
Finally, Jean-Pierre briefly touched on racial issues. Of course, Biden loves to talk about systemic racism and racial injustices. But talk is cheap. Signing executive orders and erecting monuments won’t solve the problem. It’s all just performative virtue signaling to appease the radical left. Meanwhile, real issues like the economy and national security are left on the backburner.

The White House’s habit of deflecting from the actual question at hand is nothing new. This time, Jean-Pierre went off on a tangent about the economy when asked about systemic racism. It’s just another example of how out of touch this administration is and how they will use any opportunity to push their misguided agenda. Quite frankly, it’s getting old and Americans deserve better.
