This whole charade is unfolding after Kirby made some bold claims about the United States intelligence community not having a clue about Hamas’s little plans to take a jab at Israel back in October. Can you believe it? The New York Times even spilled the tea on how Israeli officials were sipping on those plans for over a year before the attack rocked their world. At least 1,200 Israeli lives were lost in the chaos, and the death toll just keeps on rising with both Palestinians and Israelis caught in the crossfire.
But wait, there’s more! Kirby hinted that Israel might want to do some self-reflection and investigate what exactly went haywire before the Hamas attack. Classic deflecting, am I right? We all know they’re just hoping to shift the blame and avoid taking responsibility for their own blunders.
And don’t even get us started on the ceasefire drama between Hamas and Israel. It’s like a never-ending soap opera, with hostages being swapped like playing cards in a game of Go Fish. It’s just a big ol’ mess, and it looks like those negotiations have hit the brakes. But hey, at least Hamas showed a bit of courtesy by letting go of over 100 hostages in exchange for Israel releasing around 240 Palestinian prisoners. What a heartwarming exchange of “gifts.”
