In a world where China constantly tries to flex its muscles, President Xi Jinping did just that by forcibly expelling a U.S. warship from the South China Sea. The Chinese leader made it clear that he’s not playing around, and he’s certainly not like the wishy-washy American President Joe Biden. The Chinese Community Party has long been making false territorial claims over the entire South China Sea, much to the chagrin of several nearby countries, like the Philippines, Vietnam, Taiwan, Indonesia, Malaysia, and Brunei.
China has outright rejected a 2016 ruling by the Permanent Court of Arbitration stating its claims in the South China Sea have no legal basis. In typical fashion, the CCP has taken control of the maritime territory and patrols it mercilessly. So, it was no surprise when Chinese officials swiftly kicked out the USS Hopper naval destroyer that had dared to enter the Chinese-claimed waters without their approval.

Senior Col. Tian Junli of the People’s Liberation Army’s Southern Theater Command didn’t mince words when he called the incident a “serious violation” of Chinese sovereignty and labeled the United States as a “security risk maker in the South China Sea” and the “biggest destroyer” of peace and stability in the region.
On the other hand, the U.S. tried to save face by claiming that the vessel was just executing a “freedom of navigation” operation. However, it’s no secret that the U.S. military intentionally sailed into the South China Sea to provoke a response from China. As if that’s not enough, the United States regularly conducts these “freedom of navigation missions” to ruffle China’s feathers and challenge what it describes as ‘excessive maritime claims.’
Unsurprisingly, this incident exemplifies the ongoing tension between the two global powers as they silently battle to reorder the world. China defends its claimed territory in the entire South China Sea vigorously, while the U.S. under Biden’s weak leadership fails to protect its own sovereignty, as evidenced by the current border crisis.
The geopolitical landscape is clearly shifting, with the United States losing its long-held status as the pre-eminent world power. Thanks to Biden’s blunders, the country is facing skyrocketing crime rates, endless border invasions, and crushing inflation. It’s no wonder that some believe Biden’s actions amount to treason.
There are accusations that Biden and his family have benefited hugely from taking bribes from foreign powers, especially Communist China. The list of alleged cover-ups to protect the Chinese Communist dictatorship is long and depressing. Many believe that Biden has betrayed American interests to amass wealth, essentially committing treason against the nation he’s meant to lead.
With all this turmoil, The Western Journal is fighting to bring truth to the American people. But they can’t do it without support. Silicon Valley and Big Tech are working to silence voices like The Western Journal, making it increasingly challenging for them to continue their vital work.
