Andrew Yang, the former Democratic presidential candidate, is making waves by speaking the truth about President Joe Biden’s chances in 2024. During a campaign event in South Carolina, Yang boldly stated to Fox News that Trump would easily defeat Biden if the election were held today. And, honestly, it’s refreshing to see a Democrat finally acknowledging the writing on the wall.

In a surprising twist, Yang revealed that he’s been having some eye-opening conversations with South Carolina voters who are seriously doubting Biden’s ability to prevail against Trump. Even middle-aged African American women, a key voting demographic for Democrats, are apparently not buying what Biden is selling. It’s no wonder Yang is in agreement with them. After all, reality is tough to ignore.
Yang didn’t stop there. He also called out the Democratic National Committee for their shady tactics in canceling state primaries, which he argues suppresses democracy. And he’s absolutely right! It’s ironic that the party that claims to champion democracy would engage in such undemocratic behavior. The hypocrisy is truly astounding.
But Yang didn’t just criticize the DNC – he also offered a solution to make the primaries more competitive. He suggested that the Biden administration should encourage other Democratic leaders, like Govs. Gavin Newsom and Gretchen Whitmer, to run for president. However, he pointed out that many within the Democratic Party are too scared to challenge Biden and are already setting their sights on 2028. It’s as if they’ve given up on 2024 altogether!
Yang’s unwavering support for Rep. Dean Phillips, who dared to challenge Biden, is admirable. Phillips, a Minnesota Democrat, received a significant 20% of the vote in the New Hampshire primary, demonstrating that there’s real dissatisfaction with Biden’s leadership within his own party. It’s high time for Democrats to acknowledge the reality and stop living in denial about Trump’s potential to triumph over Biden.
In the end, Yang’s bold statements may ruffle some feathers within the Democratic Party, but it’s about time someone spoke the unfiltered truth. If Democrats want to stand a chance in 2024, they need to face the harsh reality and listen to voices like Yang’s that are ringing the alarm bells. After all, denial won’t win elections.
