Bahamas Save FTX Founder from Charge: Dems’ Dirty Donor Dodges Again!

US prosecutors have dropped a campaign contribution charge against Sam Bankman-Fried, the disgraced founder of FTX. And guess what? The decision came after the Bahamas said they wouldn’t extradite him for that specific charge. Gee, isn’t that convenient? It’s like Bankman-Fried pulled out his get-out-of-jail-free card or something.

Now, these charges were no joke. They accused Bankman-Fried and his buddies of using millions of dollars to make shady donations to politicians who would do his bidding. Talk about corruption at its finest. But now, thanks to some loophole in U.S. treaty obligations with the Bahamas, that charge magically disappears. Can you smell the fishy business here?

But don’t worry, folks, this story isn’t over yet. Bankman-Fried still has 12 other charges to face, including stealing from innocent customers of his cryptocurrency exchange. Yeah, this guy really knows how to win friends and influence people, huh? It’s no wonder he’s facing the wrath of justice.

Oh, and get this. Bankman-Fried was a big-time donor in the 2022 election cycle, doling out a whopping $40 million. And where did most of that money go? Surprise, surprise — Democratic committees and candidates. But he claims to have made some contributions to Republicans too, although he conveniently called those “dark.” Seriously, who does this guy think he’s fooling?

Unsurprisingly, Bankman-Fried’s shady donations caught the attention of watchdog groups like Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics. They filed a complaint with the FEC, accusing him of using his wealth to influence federal elections while evading transparency laws. And you know what? They’ve got a point. If Bankman-Fried had nothing to hide, why would he resort to using other people’s names to make political contributions? This guy is as deceptive as they come.

But the icing on the cake is the revelation that Bankman-Fried’s official PAC, West Realm Shire Services, donated a hefty sum to none other than Mitch McConnell and Kevin McCarthy. So much for pretending to be a bipartisan donor. It’s obvious that all this dirty money was used to buy influence and shape public policy in Washington, just as the U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of New York, Damian Williams, noted. Talk about a classic case of pay-to-play politics.

In the end, critics are right to blast this latest development. It’s clear that Bankman-Fried’s connections and his ability to evade justice are causing outrage amongst the American people. The fact that he can still be involved in politics despite his alleged criminal activities is a slap in the face to law-abiding citizens. It’s high time we root out corruption and hold those like Bankman-Fried accountable for their actions. The swamp needs draining, and fast.
