Biden Backs TikTok Sale Amid Campaign’s Heavy Use for Youth Vote

The Congress is about to pass a rule that would make TikTok, a popular Chinese-owned app, sell to an American company or face being banned in the United States. President Joe Biden has promised to support this rule, but at the same time, his reelection campaign is counting heavily on TikTok to sway young voters in its favor.

Despite banning federal employees from using TikTok on their government phones and pressuring the Chinese president about it, Biden’s campaign is all about using TikTok to win over younger voters. Talk about mixed messages! Biden’s team is really going all in on targeting young people, even though there are serious national security concerns about the app.

The White House insists they don’t want to ban TikTok, just make it sell to an American company. They say it’s a platform that needs to be taken seriously for national security reasons. But then why is Biden’s campaign so gung-ho on using it to reach out to voters, especially when the majority of TikTok users are Democrats? It’s almost like they’re willing to overlook the security risks in favor of getting those sweet, sweet votes.

The campaign argues that they’re not just focusing on TikTok, but trying to reach voters on all different platforms. They’re pulling out all the stops to spread their message far and wide, even if it means reposting content on every social media site known to man. It’s like the old saying goes, “If at first you don’t succeed, repost, repost again.”
