In a shocking twist on Super Tuesday, progressive voters in Minnesota slammed President Joe Biden with a resounding “NO THANK YOU” as they ditched their support for him in favor of an unexpected option – not supporting any candidate at all. This unexpected move left Biden scratching his head as even Congressman Dean Phillips (D-MN) managed to snag more support than Biden did in his own state. Ouch! “Uncommitted” voters swooped in with a hefty 18.9% slice of the pie, thanks to some crafty liberal activists trying to trip up Biden’s smooth sailing towards clinching the Democratic nomination.
Minnesota, the stomping ground of Squad members Rashida Tlaib and Ilhan Omar, became a hotbed of dissent as these far-left Democrats railed against Biden’s stance on Israel’s military actions in Gaza. While most Americans have stood by Israel, Biden’s waffling has irked the left, leading to protests even against Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez in Brooklyn. Looks like the liberal base is not entirely on board with Biden’s centrist approach.

The wave of uncommitted Democrats in Minnesota has dealt a humiliating blow to Biden, showing that even his own party members are having doubts about his leadership. This rejection was echoed in Alabama and Colorado, where “Uncommitted Delegate” scored significant support, and even in Tennessee where uncommitted Democrats made their presence felt. Biden may have some serious fence-mending to do within his own party.
Despite Biden’s attempts to paint himself as a steady hand against the chaos of his predecessor, Donald Trump, cracks are starting to show. His lackluster responses on Israel, inflation, and the border crisis have left many questioning his ability to lead. Even Vice President Kamala Harris’ awkward reassurances about Biden being “very much alive” don’t do much to boost his chances. With young voters and voters of color slipping away, Biden’s reelection hopes might be starting to fade.
In the conservative view, these Super Tuesday results are a clear sign that Biden is losing his grip on the Democratic base. The fact that uncommitted voters are making a splash in key states should set off alarm bells for Team Biden. If he can’t even secure the support of his own party faithful, how can he hope to win back swing voters and independents come election time? It’s a bumpy road ahead for Sleepy Joe, and the Trump train might be gaining steam faster than he’d like!
