In a shocking exposé, it has been revealed that President Joe Biden’s National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) is facing significant challenges in overseeing artificial intelligence regulation. The liberal dream team at The Washington Post reported on the utter chaos and neglect happening within the NIST.
Under Biden’s command, the NIST has been tasked with ensuring AI is deployed safely. However, the agency is in such disarray that its campuses in Maryland and Colorado are resembling more of a rundown frat house than a place of high-tech innovation. Black mold, leaks, floods, and unreliable internet are just the tip of the iceberg. It seems the Biden administration is more concerned with pushing their radical agenda than maintaining a functional regulatory agency.

Former and current employees, along with Biden administration officials, have spoken out about the dire conditions at the NIST. One former chief even mentioned having to cover microscopes with tarps to prevent rainwater from leaking on them. It’s a sad state of affairs when a supposedly cutting-edge agency is resorting to makeshift solutions because of neglect.
To make matters worse, the NIST is cozying up to Big Tech companies for support. Amazon and Microsoft are throwing their weight (and cash) behind the establishment of an AI Safety Institute. This cozy relationship raises concerns that Big Tech will have undue influence over the regulatory agency. It’s a classic case of the swamp getting deeper under Democrat rule.
The Commerce Department, under which the NIST operates, seems unfazed by the chaos. Spokesman Charlie Andrews mentioned that NIST is somehow “effectively” carrying out its responsibilities. It’s clear that the Biden administration is more focused on virtue signaling and placating left-wing donors than actually fixing the mess they’ve created.
In typical liberal fashion, the White House recently hosted a meeting with left-wing organizations to shape AI policy. Their commitment to “fair, open, and competitive markets” is laughable considering the rampant cronyism and disregard for basic competence within the NIST. It’s no wonder that the NIST, Commerce Department, and White House chose to remain silent when pressed for comment. After all, the truth is harder to spin than a White House press briefing.
In conclusion, the Biden administration’s handling of the NIST is a prime example of liberal incompetence and corruption. While they preach about safeguarding democracy and combating disinformation, their own house is in shambles. It’s time for conservatives to take back control and restore integrity to our government agencies. Let’s drain the swamp before it swallows us whole.
