President Joe Biden’s reelection campaign has hatched a surprising strategy to secure another four years in the White House – they want to put former President Donald Trump front and center. Yes, you heard that right. Biden’s team is actually looking to give more airtime to Trump in order to shift the focus away from Biden’s lackluster performance as commander in chief.
The New York Times reports that Democrats are pushing for more coverage of Trump’s rallies and more headlines about the former president. It seems that Biden’s campaign recognizes that without the daily chaos of Trump, people aren’t as concerned about the possibility of another Trump administration. Well, let’s not forget what a “total and absolute disaster” Trump supposedly was, right? That’s what Adrianne Shropshire of BlackPAC wants us to remember. But here’s the thing: as much as the Democrats want Trump to be the GOP nominee, recent polls suggest that even the most vulnerable Republican candidate could defeat Biden. Ouch.

Trump is currently the front-runner among Republicans, and he’s even giving Biden a run for his money in hypothetical general election matchups. It’s clear that Biden’s attempts to campaign on his economic record and legislation aren’t doing much to boost his approval ratings, which continue to sink. Looks like Trump might just have the last laugh.
