Biden Deportation Figures Dwarfed by Noem’s Aggressive Crackdown

In a decisive move that has startled both critics and lax immigration advocates alike, the Biden administration’s record on deportations has been put to shame by the latest figures released by Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem. With over 20,000 arrests recorded in just one month, this development marks a staggering 627% increase compared to the weak numbers seen during the previous administration. It seems that while one party was busy rolling out the welcome mat for illegal immigrants, the current leadership has taken to the enforcement of immigration laws with gusto.

Noem made it abundantly clear that her administration is committed to securing the border and sending illegal alien criminals back where they belong. It’s refreshing to see someone in Washington tackling the immigration disaster head-on instead of feigning compassion for those who violate our laws. Claiming that the current administration, led by Trump but championed by Noem, is helping to “save lives,” isn’t just some feel-good statement; it’s a stark contrast to the policies that essentially encouraged criminals to populate U.S. streets. It’s about time someone stood up for American citizens by ridding the country of those who pose a genuine threat.

While Ms. Noem didn’t explicitly categorize the 20,000 arrests as all being made by ICE’s at-large team, the implication couldn’t be clearer. Compared to the sparse 33,000 arrests made throughout the entire year of 2024 under Biden’s watch, it’s as if the new administration flipped a switch on law enforcement. Even if arithmetic isn’t everyone’s strong suit, one can clearly see that at this pace, ICE is on track to make around 240,000 arrests this year—smashing any past records.

Furthermore, it won’t just be statistics filling up the spreadsheets. Approximately 45% of the arrests made this year are tied to individuals with criminal convictions or pending charges. Noem’s numbers, while impressive, did not delve into how many of these arrests involve actual criminals, which keeps the intrigue alive. Perhaps the lack of detailed disclosures is a tactical play to keep opponents guessing about just how effective the new strategies really are.

Of course, this effort comes as some disturbing news from south of the border, with Mexico reporting a dip in deportations compared to Biden’s last year in office. The groundwork laid by Trump to curb illegal crossings has clearly had a lasting effect; fewer people coming across means fewer to send back. The numbers might make some in the media cringe, but for everyday Americans tired of watching crime rates soar, this is a welcome development in the fight for border security.

In a time when many in Washington seem to forget about the little guy, it’s good to know that the current leadership is getting serious about immigration enforcement—an issue that affects every American family. So brace yourselves; with a concrete strategy and proper execution, we could be looking at the safest borders in recent memory. Now, if only we could convince some policymakers to divvy up their happy meals of “catch-and-release” in favor of something a bit more savory.
