The Democratic Party, in a stunning display of political maneuvering, has decided to rewrite the rules of their own nominating process, making it a little easier for Vice President Kamala Harris to snag the nomination before the upcoming convention. This decision is not just a minor procedural tweak; it’s indicative of the Democrats’ apparent disdain for traditional democratic processes, according to critics. Under the newly established rules, Democrats will conduct a virtual roll call at the beginning of August, well ahead of the festivities scheduled in Chicago. In her defense of the shifty maneuver, convention chairwoman Minyon Moore, who has political roots dating back to the Clinton administration, assured everyone that the party would not allow “technicalities” or “MAGA extremists” to undermine their plans. One wonders how a party so sensitive to “technicalities” manages to ignore the will of its own voters.
