Republican presidential candidate Ron DeSantis is making waves with his bold pledge to put an end to the disastrous “woke” ideology that has infected our military. During a campaign stop in South Carolina, a state known for its deep ties to the armed services, DeSantis laid out his agenda with unwavering determination.

DeSantis believes that our military should prioritize being lethal, ready, and capable. And he’s right! We don’t need distractions like diversity, equity, and inclusion getting in the way of our mission. It’s high time we focus on what truly matters: defending our nation and ensuring our military is the strongest in the world.
One of the key points in DeSantis’ agenda is putting an end to drag shows on military bases. Seriously, drag shows? Is this what our proud servicemen and women signed up for? It’s absurd and downright offensive to see these unnecessary spectacles taking place where our soldiers should be training and preparing for battle.
Additionally, DeSantis plans to ban transgender individuals from serving in the military. This is a common-sense move that puts the well-being and readiness of our troops first. We need a military that is unified and focused, not one that is burdened by the complications that come with accommodating transgender individuals.
But DeSantis doesn’t stop there. He promises to offer jobs and back pay to service members who were wrongfully fired for refusing the COVID vaccine. Finally, someone who understands the importance of personal choice and individual liberties! It’s refreshing to see a candidate who stands up for the rights of our brave men and women in uniform.
Now, some critics may argue that the term “woke” is vague and undefined. But DeSantis has a clear vision of what it means and how it’s negatively impacting our military. Wokeness is a dangerous ideology that prioritizes political correctness over national security. It’s time to stop tip-toeing around and address the real issues at hand.
In his fight against the weaponization of the federal government against conservatives, DeSantis distinguishes himself as a true champion of the people. He understands that draining the swamp isn’t just a catchy slogan, but a necessary step to restore integrity and honesty to our nation’s capital.
Unfortunately, DeSantis faces an uphill battle in the polls as he tries to catch up with former President Trump. While Trump deserves credit for his accomplishments, we need fresh leadership and a candidate who can deliver on his promises. DeSantis offers a compelling alternative, one who won’t waver or back down from the fight against woke culture and government overreach.
