The Democrats and their media allies are doing somersaults over the news of Alexander Smirnov’s indictment by the Department of Justice in connection to the Biden bribery allegations. They’re throwing a big ol’ party, thinking they’ve finally buried the GOP’s push for impeachment. But hold your horses, folks! The real tea here is that the Russians were actually rooting for Hillary Clinton in 2016. So much for the “Russian interference” boogeyman.
The liberals are salivating at the chance to revive their Russian collusion/disinformation circus, which has been gathering dust since they ran out of other things to whine about. Sure, they’re trying to wave the indictment around like it’s some sort of victory flag, but the truth is, it just shows how the DOJ is going along with the Democratic Party’s political games. They’re using Smirnov’s indictment as a backdoor to push their anti-Biden narrative.

Let’s not forget the real meat of the story: the Biden family’s alleged shady dealings. There’s more evidence stacked against them than you can shake a stick at. Joseph Ziegler and Gary Shapley dropped some juicy testimony last summer about the DOJ meddling in IRS investigations into Hunter Biden. The evidence points to a whole buffet of illegal activities, but the Democrats want to distract everyone with the Smirnov sideshow.
Some voices of reason, like Michael Shellenberger and Margot Cleveland, have pointed out the glaring inconsistencies in Smirnov’s indictment. This guy was a go-to source for the FBI for 14 years, and now they’re suddenly throwing him under the bus? It smells fishier than a seafood market on a hot summer day. The whole thing reeks of incompetence and political shenanigans.
Cleveland even brings up other confidential sources who pulled the wool over the DOJ’s eyes and got away with it. There’s a definite double standard at play here, and it’s enough to make you want to break out the pitchforks and torches. The DOJ’s actions are so questionable that there’s a case to be made for impeaching Special Counsel David Weiss.
The FBI’s behavior in all of this is particularly cringe-worthy. They were quick to spy on the Trump campaign based on a dodgy dossier, but now they’re playing coy about releasing the report on Smirnov. And the excuse they gave about it being to protect Smirnov’s safety? Yeah, that excuse aged about as well as milk left out in the sun.
In the end, the Smirnov indictment is just a shiny distraction from the real scandal at hand. The Democrats and their pals in the DOJ are playing a game of smoke and mirrors, hoping to keep the spotlight off the Biden family’s shady antics. But the truth will always come to light. And when it does, heads are gonna roll faster than a bowling ball down a greased alley.
