The popular ammo tracking website, Ammo Prices Now, has reported a significant surge in the price of 5.56×45mm NATO caliber ammunition, with a staggering 39% increase in just one week. The price per round has risen from .36 to .50, which is even more than the increase seen during Russia’s invasion of Ukraine earlier this year. And it’s not just that type of ammo that’s seeing a spike in price. The cost of 223 Remington has surged by 42% in the past week as well. It’s clear that Americans are feeling the need to arm themselves as the possibility of WW3 looms closer.
